Ignition starting

I have a VS Commodore Acclaim. Sometimes when I attempt to start the car nothing happens, On second attempt the car starts. I have changed the start relay and the battery is okay. Anyone have any other ideas?

sounds like the security system isn't turning off.. try "pushing" the key in towards the ignition a little bit when you start it. if this helps you need to bend out the little silver contacts the are around the ignition.

could be that the immobiliser isnt switching off properly, check ur error codes and make sure its all clear.
