no overdrive vr v6 anybody help

if its not going into overdrive (4th gear in the automatic), that means your torque converter is f****d, as the torque converter locks up for one to one transmission when cruising above about 60khm. take it to a "tranny specialist" and tell him thats whats wrong so he doesnt screw you around...

cheers mate trany bloke reckons that the torque converter is locking up cheers for message ill have a chat monday morning with him hes a good bloke only charged me for service hes changed 4th gear modulator and done a few other things could it be anything else you think

being vr a dead shift solinoid or trans temp sensor the temp sensor will stop 4th if the ecu thinks the box is too hot

cheers mate but it does it while cold would it still be temp sensor or dead shift sensor i spoke to smeone today and his opinion was some pressure switch in the valve body and replace it with a 1/8th plug told so much crap now its confusing cheers 4 adice

its a pressure manifold sensor my can has no 1st or 4th gear it starts in 2nd and only goes into 3rd i have been told $350 to fix and service
