    Default bloody lock

    Hey all i had to put a new door on my car and i have to change the lock
    but i cant manage to get the lock out, so could anyone please explain how to get it out

    Dont you take the interior cover off and just take out the whole handle???

    took everything off like the interior bit of the door and everything

    The actual lock or the lock cylinder? Lock cylinder has a U-shaped clip on the back. The actual door lock requires disconnecting the rods and wiring, removing the 3 torx screws on the side of the door then maneuvering the lock/actuator assembly out from within the door. Might also need to remove the window channel if its the front door. Cant remember.

    all you have to do is remove the door trim then undo your outer door handle and the lock will come out with it then you undo the lock rod and circlip
    out pops your lock

    ok cheers guys how do ya get the whole door handle i went down to the wrekers and had a go but couldnt seen to get it out

    Theres a long thin clip on the back of the handle. Slide it across with a screwdriver and the handle will basically collapse. Then you have to work the handle out by playing around with it a bit. Hardest part is putting it back together.
