Default Headlights flash when using indicators

Hi all got a weird problem with the inlaws vs commodore, when using the indicators the headlights turn on and flash with it, if you turn the headlights on and indicate they will dim with the indicators.

I was just checking out my gregories book but it seems it might be the bcm as both seem to be on separate circuits.

Anyone had this before on there exec?

The Headlamp switch on the dash? Thanks

EDIT: inlaws described it wrong was switching between low and high beam when indicating with the lights on which should only mean the stalk.

    Thanks

Does it have a tow bar or trailer plug on the back ?

I had a similar problem with a mazda 929 that i owned, the wires going to the trailer plug had become exposed and were shorting out

I think I have the same thing. Do the headlights flash up to high beam when the indicators turn off?
In mine its just a split second of highbeam when indicators self cancel or I turn them off, and I've go through about a brake light globe a month

definately change your indicator stalks, mine did exactly the same thing, i had to remove my high beam relay (not safe when driving at night) till i got a replacement of ebay, $10 second hand, theres only a few screws and a plug or 2 (depending if you have cruise control). pretty simple to replace.
