hi guys having a few issues with my cruise control on my VS ,
i can turn it on and off fine and the green light works, but it doesnt always engage when set is pressed. when it does work. the reset to re-engage it works, but the set button will just stop working when it wonts to and all i can do is reset/accelerate.
ive checked fuses they apear fine and allsao had the stalk apart and it tested ok too, from other threads im thinkingh that maybe the set wire has a fault and hence only works when it wonts to, or the unit in the engine bay is faulty.
any one had these issues before? any ideas
thanks

I just recently fixed mine. I found it to be a broken wire in the Indicator stalk. Nothing that a bit of solder and heatshrink cant fix. Works good as new and am loving the Cruise control. Haha
Could be the brake light switch, or the failsafe switch located above the brake light switch heading towards the top of the brake pedal stalk. From memory both switches have a degree of adjustment in them, so it might be worth having a play with the switch and see how you go.
i pulled out the top switch and shorted to simulate tyhe pbreak being on just inc
ase it was making contact properly and it still didnt work.. im goin to recheck my stalk wires and see how i go..
