Exhaust - catback

Hey guys, im new to modding cars etc and im wondering what the best solution for a catback exhaust system is for my vsii calais. A quick ebay search comes up with some between $150-350. Im just looking for a nice deep growl and small power gains (not too concerned about hp). does anyone have experience with the bolt on ones that are out there?

Most people are happy with a 2.5" Redback. Under $200 new from eBay I think. As for power, not many exhausts will give you very much of a power gain if any, unless you have extensive mods.

btw, im seeing that being a sedan with IRS im going to be looking at a bit more than a solid rear axle, why is that just out of interest?

Dunno, IRS has less bends and therefore uses less pipe. Maybe it's cause there are more live axle Commodores or something?

I can do you a system for $260 shipped if you aren't in WA. Very similar to Redback, it's a Manta brand. Front muffler and straight tail pipe. Add $40 if you want a rear resonator.
