hey guys im going to buy a set of those altezza taillights from ebay.
Ive got a silver vs, what do you's think would look better? the chrome ones or the black ones.
p.s. dont bother saying dont put them on because im doing it no matter what![]()
not going to flame you because I had some on a VR a few years back, I went for the black ones and colour coded the centre garnish, looked ok, I mainly did it because NO ONE else at all had them over here in NZ.
if anything go for the black ones.
ahh cool as looks nice on your car ey lol
and since im guessing not many people like these lights....
*puts flame suit on*
yea im with ya about the newer kits on older holdens, if i was going to get one id either get vs ss or vs clubsport. Also true about stock vs holdens lol havent seen a stock one for a while actually haha
I had to laugh at wanting peoples personal opinions but if they aren't the same as yours you will disregard and do it anyway.
I wouldn't have them myself but the altezzas look best on VT-VX I think. Darker lights with the chrome would probably look nice on a darker colored car but dunno bout lighter ones.
personally i think the black ones are gonna look better, but im not a fan of chrome stuff.
You asked for my opinion, I'll give it.
Buy both altezza lights, and burn them. Its like ricing your commodore. Leave it to that bloke who drives the lancer and has a cannon.
I took the silver one's off my vs commodore like 6 months ago . They looked allright with the garinsh painted
Personally, I would say they look out of place on a VS, because they don't match the rest of the car. You've got "high-tech" looking altezza's and the classic looking VS - it just seems mis-matched. Same goes for rims, and anything else on the car - it's the package that counts, not each part on it's own.
But given that you've said you're going to do it anyway, I'd say the black looks slightly better.

my opinion, go the clear stock lights, with coloured led globes(note: will need red reflectors somewhere on the rear of car for legalities) or get the calais stock lights, with clear indicator

yeah fullly against mix match kits makes me sick
if you're definately going altezza style, then black would look better imo.
if you're wanting different, as hakhawk said, consider the completely clear stock ones, they suit silver models well.
