    Angry steering

    hi there,i need to take a pully wheel of a power steering pump shaft the manual says to use a three armed pulley remover i when and hire one today cant seem to get pulley wheel off the shaft all the puller is doing is bending in the outer side of the pulley,what i need to no if this the correct way or removing the pulley from the sharft or is there another way, if any body has a sollution to my problem.

    If that doesn't work maybe try sitting the pulley on the two blocks of wood and hitting the shaft with a big punch in the centre. The V6 pump pulley is bolted on, but i'm assuming the V8 is different ?

    yeh the pulley system is different the shaft has a drilled hole with a thread put into the sharft it might be pressed on i think there must be some sort of puller out there?
