Exclamation Metal Head gasket..... (maybe alloy??)

hey guys, i was looking on carsales etc. for a car for my girlfriend.

i came across one that had a "metal performance head gasket"... it was a little ricer of somekind....

i dont give a shit about the car it was on...but i am in the market for a new headgasket... and i want something that will put up with a bit of "abuse"......

anyway just wondering if these "Metal" head gasket's are real??

if so are they better than normal head gaskets??.. and where would you buy them???...or would you get them made??

p.s it could have been alloy im not too sure...(it was about 2 months ago)

    thanks guys any info welcome

if it has a metal head gasket, sounds like they've blown it previously, its not really something you get changed for performance gains. id steer away.

edit: I think you can get copper gaskets, but there's little to no point. if you're doing the things that are going to blow it anyway, having a metal one isnt really going to stop it.

there are better and worse ones to buy, but unfortunatly im no expert i have only been in the market for them once...which was enough. The one i ended up getting had all metal edging around the paper. But i think alot are like that.

to be honest mate, its pointless, you'll only blow it from overheating, and if it overheats, paper or metal, the gasket is still gonna blow.
