VS Transmission issues.

Hey guys,

Picked up a 95 vs on Saturday.
180k, green, sunroof, v good condition $3000, only...
I get this random harsh vibration noise at a certain speed in third gear and in the mornings, 4am for work, the car when stopping likes to stay in 3rd or 4th and take its time dropping back to first taking off.
Its only until the car warms up but still very annoying.

Obv. the trans is screwed, it has a tow bar so im assuming this is how its happend.
Im just curious if it sounds repairable or if its going to need replacing.

IF the later, what is a fair price to pay for a second hand transmission?
Also what model commodores are compatible, ive heard s2 VS are different etc.
