front standard rotors are around $80 for the pair, and pads are roughly $30 and all you need is a jack, stands and a couple tools and away you go. you can use the guide thats in the how-to section. is on VT-VX brakes so the calipers look a little different, its the same process.

the rotors are floating, so its only 2 caliper bolts and bam rotors pretty much fall off, if they are stuck on just bash behind them with a mallet, failing that then hammer but it will ding them but they are going in the bin so dont worry. Slap new ones on and do up 2 bolts.
Do not pay more than $200 for new rotors and good pads, you would be being ripped at the $200 mark.

500-600 is a rip, especially caus you have no idea about the quality of parts being fitted.

DBA (quality brand) rotors are about 50-60 each, slotted being about 110 each.

Bendix General CT pads are 50-60 bux.

So thats 150-180ish bux in parts.

To do it yourself you need:
    A Jack and wheel brace.
19 or 22mm spanner to remove the caliper.
a 10 and 12 mm (or 12 and 13) to remove guide pin bolt.
A G-clamp to push caliper piston back in.

A couple of hours and a few beers.

Unless your getting cross drilled and sloted rotors with performance pads then yeah, your getting ripped off.

Mine were slotted rotors and i also bought decent pads. There isn't much work in it at all.
