    Default vr dimmer headlight switch

    hi guys!

recently l acquired some items from a vr berlina to go into my vr executive to which was including the headlight switch. I put it in and now my dash is really dim. Was wondering if there was a difference in the base model with the headlight switch?

I have the switch set in the middle. I can go down on the switch and it doesn't do anything but spring back up. If l go up it can lock into place making my dash brighter but my interior light also stays on. Any ideas?

    Thanks

Sounds like it's broken - my VR Series II Exec has a 3 position switch like you describe, but it works as

    1. Bright dash + interior light
    2. Bright dash
    3. Dim Dash (never did work out what that was supposed to be useful for)

The berlina/calais didn't just have 3 stages of cluster dimming. You hold the switch up/down until it adjusts to the level you want, then let it go and it goes back to the middle. If you push it all the way to the top then the interior light turns on.

This is in a VS, and as far as I know VRs were the same

hmmm... so the switch is fine but l can't use it as it makes my dash practically unreadable.
