Hi i recently have noticed a problem when drivin. At times, mostly when my headlights and radio are on at night, my battery light comes on, then my abs light, then my airbag light. Ontop of that my headlights and dashlights seem to become MUCH brighter. My amp also cuts off. This lasts for about a minute, then everything goes back to normal. I HAVE changed my spark plug leads recently but i dont know if that would be the problem. The battery also shows that its fully charged. ANy suggestions....

check your engine is properly earthed

by doing what excatly?

checking the condition of the earth cables, there should be about three thick braided flat wires running from somewhere on the block to the body of the car. If any of them are cut or missing that could be your problem. Not sure where all of them are on the V6, but one should be near the alternator.

ive checked and they seem fine. Also checked my amp wire that runs to the battery and that looks fine also. Checked my leads, they are properly fitted. Battery also still says its fully charged. Not sure what else it could be?

btw alternators only a year old

Id be checkin ur voltage when it does it, as ur headlights get brighter id say ur regualtor is playin up n voltage is increasing.

Amp will turn off at anythink over 15v im pretty sure.

Deff get a multi meter on it tho with car off, check voltage, start car, check voltage.

Should sit between 11.9v-12.4v car off and 13.9v- 14.4v car on, any higher than that new regulator.

Definitely sounds like the regulator on the alternator. If you can't test it, rip it out and take it an auto elec. If it is, will probably cost about $60 to replace and takes about 2 mins to do.
