    Hey guys

hoping you might be able to help me convince my hubby that he is a doof.....

long story short, replaced the lower flat idler pulley the other day and i thought there was a "washer" that came off the original, but he can't see to make it fit and doesn't think it belongs.

now that i've driven the car a good 20k's it has oozed out blue looking waxy type stuff..

so.... do i need to get another new pulley and convince him to find a way to make the washer thingo work??? Am I right in thinking this pulley had a washer???
