Calais centre console help

chasing centre console manual insert for centre console (not the normal platic top its the soft console that sits on top of standard conole) if any1 knows where i can get one from please let me know asap

i have attached a picture of the same console i have but it is auto i need manual insert

That is gonna suck to find mate, ive seen them in cars but very rarely for sale, keep checking ebay all the time and here and trading post. Be prepared to pay hard for it too nobody gets rid of em cheap

yeh i've been lookin for about 2months now i've only seen them in 2 cars cant seem 2 find 1 anywhere or even an aftermarket insert that is even close

If all else fails you may have to modify an auto one, bitta fibreglass and make a scmick boot could be very fiddly but

Keep an eye on ebay. Once in a blue moon you will see one show up on there, but expect to sacrifice limbs to pay for it

yeh every1 i'v spoke 2 says that its gunna cost. i've been thinkin of havin a crack at makin 1 out of the auto insert so that might be my only option cheers guys

If not, your looking for a FACTORY VR or VS HSV console, but only from cars fitted with the 6 speed gearbox. 5 speed HSVs just have the normal holden console, just pained black i think.


There was one on ebay a few weeks ago, it went for $611. It was damaged aswell.
There was another one on ebay about a year ago, and went for 400 or so.

I bought mine for $250 including the full console about 6 years ago, i've had offers of over $1000 for it.

My god it would almost be worth selling it for over $1000 don't you think? Thats alot of $$$ for mods or similar if you could just convert back to the old skool style one? Did you think about it very long?

Mind you, i had the stock Auto one with a huge hole cut in it for about 6 months before i found that one. Was the last thing the guy had from wrecking a VS Senator. Awesome bargain!

Once again, you didn't read the post. Hes NOT after a VS Statesman Series2/3 console, he's after the Calais style, either a genuine HSV manual one, of he'll have to mod an Auto one. He never said anything about woodgrain.


The one in my pic is carbon fibre style, you can easily buy the woodgrain stickers off of ebay if thats your fancy.

i havent got time to rewrite all this, but i put up most of the information needed on the SC forum. jsut replace the stars with street commodores. if you already have the console, you can probably make this for about $70, if you already have the tools (rotary/dremel and a heatgun)
