hey guys
i just found out that i have ultra low king springs in the back
the code is KHPR-20SL and i checked it on kings and it says that there ultra lows.
heres the problem
see how high it is in the rear... HOW IS THAT ULTRA LOW!!!!!
whats the go? can someone help me with this?
only thing i can think of is compressing springs...
thanx guys
ok sorry bout that, running monroes, lowered shocks at the back, and its live axel
hey mate, sorry it's off topic......did you fit the surrounds?..u happy with them?...
check if they are in the spring housing properly..
can only suggest that they have labelled the springs wrong, seen it a few times..
im sure a couple of members that have had this problem will post up soon.
i got the same springs in mine and looks about the same as yours, thats the problem with live axle they are harder to get that slammed look. you could pull the spring insulators out or buy thinner ones
serious?
well i was told that they were superlows.
sit at superlow level...
just a thought, what size are those wheels ? if the rolling diameter is bigger than standard then that will raise the car.
If not , take the springs out and measure them and get kings to check if they are the right height for ultra lows. or if they are the wrong springs.
really? how frickin crap is it!!!
so cut, im gunna get em compressed i think..
i got 18s, i got 15s in the shed, where should it sit at if i put those on?
lol exactly the same probably, 19's or 20's would make it look better
how long you had the springs in man?
theres is definatly somthing fishy here I`ve got SL in the front and SSL in the rear and 18`s and it sits lower than that, the tread on the rear is in the gaurds.
You now have to wiegh up your options pay for compression or get them replaced and refitted at there expense (if it indeed is mislabled), could be hard to get it out of em though, good luck.
had the springs in for awhile ay 4 months possibly, so theyve had time to sag.
thats what i mean, every ultra low car ive seen it tucks tyre, so thats what i cant believe that there ultras.
yeah they will settle soonish..... damn i want sedan ultra's for my Wagon
EDIT: ok 4 months settle time.....they're done
they will not settle now.. they hardly settle much after they've been for a quick spin round the block after fitment. let alone 4months later
definately the wrong springs
Hey guys, doesnt matter what size wheels/tyres u have, they are pretty much the same size. Our VT came out with 205/65R15 standard and we have fitted 245/35R19's. The difference is only 7mm in rolling diameter!! Not much at all. I reckon the same as "ephect", wrong springs. But better to be sure and take them out and measure and get in contact with king springs and find out their measurements!! Good luck
ok then, i think i mite just ring kings first see if its even possible for a mistake, maybe they can do something about it.
for a live axle that looks about right... they really aren't that low
measure exactly how much lower you wanna go, take your springs out, take them somewhere to get them compressed by your measured amount, then wack them back in
is the cheapest, easiest and surest way to ensure you'll be happy with the finished look... don't buy bigger wheels to try make your car look lower
ultralow springs are low, and they tuck tyre full stop. its happend a few times where the springs where incorrectly labelled. that height is superlow.
my bad, i thought they were super low... still, short of having them swapped over, same applies
