hey,
i got a vs ute with sl's in it? (refer to pic) and im getting some rims for it soon. Im undecided as to if i should get 17s or 18s, as im still a noob driver and will prob go off the odd gutter or two.Would 18s provide enough side wall for sufficient protection?
just after some advice.. the rims im looking at are apec Volt, if anybody has these rims, or has a picture of a commodore fitted with these could you please post so i can see how they would look, and so i can see the difference in sidewall and looks from 17" to 18"
Thanks

and even with the 17's you'll still get rash if you hit the curb etc......
im not to worried about rash, more just dinting or cracking themand even with the 17's you'll still get rash if you hit the curb etc......

well cracks should be covered under manufacture's warranty... so no stress there.... but dents...i dunno...
yer ok thanks, ill prob go with 18's... now the cost of rubber.. i guess ill have to learn that one the hard way..

there'll be virtually no difference in damage between 17s and 18s
tyre prices aren't much different either so don't let that bother you
definitely go the 18s mate, you'll be much happier with them
aight thanks man, ill go the 18's thenthere'll be virtually no difference in damage between 17s and 18s

you still get gutter rash with 16's... just ask my friend who I will never allow to drive my car again
Personally, I'd go 17s
Cant really tell the difference between 17s and 18s and cheaper and longer lasting tyres
the foto of the red ute looks funny bcoz of the side strips they are on the door and front gard but not the rear and id go wiyh the 18s awell

id go 17s to keep it legal. not worth gettin defected or insurance void after a crash just for 1 inch.
Insurance companies don't refuse to pay out because your car is defectable, they refuse to pay out if they can PROVE that the defective part or object was the, or a significant cause of the accident.
Steery, you want to test that theory out? I'm sure many insurance companies will use any excuse to no pay out a claim.
Car theives should be treated just like horse theives and cattle rustlers in the days of the wild west... Hang them!
Don't be stupid. Power isn't measured by the size of your tacho
if a car is defectable then its not road worthy and shouldnt be on the road so that would get the insurance company out of payin for your damage.
