    Default LSD Centre.... help?

    hi guy's i been reading all the "How-To's" on diff's


    umm i have been sitting here for a day or so thinking about installing a LSD.

    i have the center here (just pulled out)


    im just wondering if after i install it does it all need to be balanced ?


    i heard that i cant just wack the LSD centre in??.... wat else do i have to do...?

    nothing has to be balanced mate, just swap the centers and you should be fine.

    just make sure ur shims arent too tight

    OH that was it.... THE shims!!!!......umm..... whats the torque rating for them?......


    and what does happen if they are too tight?...

    do the axles NEED to be removed to get the center out??...

    sorry i read the how to, but was unclear if i HAVE to remove them ....

    if they're too tight u'll wear out the lsd in no time, i personnally dont know how to get them right, so i will say no more (dont wanna send u up shitcreek)

    as asked earlier on yes 100% axles need to come out for the centre to be removed

    thanks buddy... will give it a go tomorrow if i can find out the torque rating for the shims
