starting problem?

i got a problem that when i go to turn the key it doesnt always start, i sometimes have to play with park and nuetral for to work?

anyone have problem before or know what this could be?

just changed ignition barrel

It could be the inhibiter switch located under the gear shift lever - it only allows the starter to operate when in N or P. Also try pressing the unlock button on the key whilst the key is in the keyhole and trying to start.
