is it possible to get twin throttle bodies onto a buick v6, if so where would be the best place to get the setup from
it is possible, the only ones i've seen have been a 1 off and all custom work. no real benefit if on a stock block, but that never stops anyoneif you want it, go for it. there will be opinions, listen to them, then decide after you have some of the facts
we dont want you wasting money
IIRC there is a guy on ebay selling buick twin throtts.
im pritty shore come racing now do a twin throt for the ecotec check there website mate
You will need to run much smaller throttle bodies to have any real drive ability on the street.
As we all know they control the air flow into the motor, by increasing the area you get more air flow in regards to the throttle position, so part throttle driving might be affected. Going to extremes but if you use 2 stock throttle bodies in theory you will have twice as much air flowing thru at any given pedal position.
Also you might have issues with turbulence where the intake pipes join.
my bad not shore if its buick friendly its been a while since ive been on there.
don't waste your money... not enough benefit from it and would possibly cost more than your cars worth.
spend your pennies on a better car/motor.
yes but why? Keep in mind that tb's that are too large is not a good thing either.
Reaper
i wasnt talking about the TPS rather the amount of air flowing thru at any given time.
For example lets say it needs 150L of air a minute to drive at 100kms and you need your foot half way down to do that speed, now lets say we increase the size of the piping and throttle body to flow double the amount. now you will only need your foot 1/4 of the way down to do that speed as the air flowing thru it will reach the 150L of air a minute required
