This is what I could dig up about the cam I had in my old car:

    221/221 dur@50thou
    280 thou lobe lift
    110 LSA
    Sure cam built.

Power was from 3000rpm+ and with only basic other mods and standard trans and diff it was about 6.8sec 0-100, with buggered 225's on the back

It was one of the best sounding ecotecs I've heard (if I may say so myself), and almost everyone I took for drives in it thought I had swapped a 5L into it

So what if its just a 6. 2 less cylinders, big whoop. People with 8's who get satisfaction from bagging out 6's are only saying "dont look at my wang". I find the V6 is a good little engine to mess about with and have fun doing so. But you DO need an exhaust when camming, or it does sound like it has a lead or two pulled.

Hmm I want a cam now lol

Ahhh that second video sound CRAP!! . But then again that cam has huge duration.

And I'm about to get a cam put in, much more mild than that but now I'm scared.

Also love how he has P plates on. "Yes officer my completely stock engine has always sounded like this".

That sounded about as smooth as someone taking a dump after eating 1 year gone off food.

Well the OP said he wanted a lumpy cam, lumpy cams of course aren't smooth.

It's always smart to turn off your engine when you get pulled over. Not only does the office think it's less likely you'll do a runner, but they won't hear your engine/exhaust.

The problem with 'lumpy' cams is that they are gutless below the power band. A real lumpy cam will start around 3000rpm, so below this your car will feel like crap.

True, if I took off quick in my old one it wasn't much better than standard, but if I wasn't careful I'd end up sideways as soon as I got to about 4000rpm
