I have a 99 v6 ute that i have found has water in one of the cylinders and therefor wouldn't crank over, I took out the spark plug and got rid of the water but I want to know which is the best stuff to use to try and seal up this crack?, I know I have to put another motor in but in the meantime I have been told to use "iron tite", someone else said "chem weld" and then another blokes told me to go with the "Wynns" stuff, any ideas on which is the best way to go at this point in time?, as i say it's only needed for a few weeks until i find another motor...
Cheer's ian
Iron-tite I've heard is good but I'm not sure it will fix a leak that big....but certainly worth a try. I think in your case you would add the stuff then run the engine with the plug out so that the sealant plugs the crack.
Pitty its not something simple like the inlet manifold gasket, good luck with it.
