can anyone help me with a problem i am having with my 94 vr, when ever i am driving the car it feels like its being restricted (almost like its being dragged) and after a short period of time it backfires, does anyone know what this could be????
Try checking your error codes -
Checking error codes VR/VS (Revised)
Sounds like it might be a transmission problem.
Also, you have a VR Series 3?
Get the gas tuned
and then if you want to start the elimination process, change plugs and leads....
also the error codes will say if the tranny is playing up... check em...
also change you "My Ride" thing...series 3??...lol
Being a car owner that runs on gas I experienced the same problem. I recommend you getting your car tuned. Making sure its full of gas when being tuned. Also having the leads and spark plugs changed to high performance ones. Ask the gas tuner, they should know which ones you need. But after this it should be sweet. Once you have it good with gas your on easy street.
thanks everyone for your replies i have found out the trouble codes but dont understand what they are here are the codes 26, 31,34,35,36,41,42,68,75... can anyone help me with what they are for thanks again
Just Commodores - For All Your Holden Commodore Needs ide unplug the battery to reset codes than check again some could be old codes
I tune the oldschool way fear on the passengers face and knuckle colour cant go wrong
tabbacco is still my favorite vegetable
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, dont do this, because during a tune the mechanic will check for any leaks and it may require the tank to be emptied. Do make sure you have around $15 in there tho, its enough for a good test drive and tune but not to big of a waste if it needs to be drained.
does anyone know how to tune a vr on gas???
hey i have a 94 vr on gas and its running really rough almost souns like its miss fireing, its also stalling even when its reving high and back fireing all the time, i have changed the coils the leads and the plugs, i have also changed the cam angle sensor and rewired the battery terminals what else could it be?????
What kind of gas system do you have?????? And if you have change leads, spark plugs to gas ones, then the only thing left is a GAS TUNE
NEVER LATE IN A 355ci
im not to sure what system it is how would i be able to find out?
how do i adjust the timing on my vr also how do i find out if its out of time?
Go to the nearest supercheap/autobarn/repco and buy a workshop manual that shows you step by step how to do everything, or just take it to a mechanic....![]()
Gas issue dude, mine did it too. Air leaks into the system can cause it. Simply go back to a gas dealer ship and get them to check it out.
