I`ve got a genuine rear ss lip and it does not seem to fit properly I`m beginning to think I have a VN SS rear lip but am unsure that is the pat number.

ill have a look tomorrow for ya when im at work .
probably supersedes to another part number
these are the part numbers for the ss lip
RH skirt- 92044030
centre- 92044029
LH skirt- 92044031
that partt number you ahve doesnt even appear in holdens catalogs. so i dunno what its off of :P
Wow ok, got the lip on and its just about 1-2 cm out so the joints are appart a bit its plastic and 3 piece so I don`t know WTF its off if not a SS.
show us a pic maybe
Had the same trouble with my factory plastic Vp rear lip I think they tend to shrink with age
Wow when your right your right, its is the right lip and has shrunk![]()
anyway I got it on and it looks passable I`ll put up some pics 2morrow anyway I am also putting on the side skirts and am mind boggled and P`d because they also have this gap, anyone else had this problem as I`ve never heard of this before and was wondering how to combat this would you need a direct swap within a day from car to car as I would assume it only shrinks when removed.
is pretty normal mate, the rear centre skirt has about a 5-10mm gap where it joins to the rear side skirts. same goes with the side skirts... doesn't really look that bad, some would even argue it looks like its meant to be like that
there should be enough overlap behind the joint where they slot into eachother to cover it up tho (if you get what i mean)![]()
about the gap yes I do get that, though when you say meant to be like that do you mean factory? because the SS when factory fitted have no gaps I checked.
not sure if they came from factory like that, how did you check?
but any genuine second hand ss skirts you buy these days will have the gaps. doesn't look that bad at all, one of those things you'll just have to live with
