Hi All,
I have a VS II SS with the standard SS rims and wanting to find a real nice set of boots.
225/50/16
What is the best?
A good quiet tyre with loads of grip and sharp steering reponse for the road.
Let's have a poll!
I'm sure the administrators could set one up. lol
Thanks for everyones input.

round ones that grip in the wet-dry and smoke heaps at the appropriate time and wont go bald
i work at beaurepaires
you'd think i'd promote goodyear or dunlop...
lol the bridge would be perfectly fine...
BFG...should stick to makin 4WD tyres...an i wouldn't be baring up over a high speed ratin...as long as it isn't below vehicle specs...they'll be fine, your tyre won't desintergrate on you and all you be paying for is bragging rites
Goodyear - look at the Goodyear Exellence, Eagle F1 GS-D3
Dunlop - SP Sport 3000A
will all do the job...i'd be sticking to an asymmetric treaad pattern if i were you...
i'm running Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric in 235/45R17...i'd recommend those bu they don't maake it in the size you're after.
VRCITY
Either the two named above or the Bridgestone RE001 ( had them on my old VP in the same size, very nice ) if you don't want to spend as much go the Supercat. ( best value cheap tyre IMHO )
We got rep back, yaaay!
potenzas ftw cost heaaps but grrrrrr

There is no such thing as 'the best tyre'. Everyone is going to have their favourites and their own opinions. Plus there are too many factors to consider.
Car theives should be treated just like horse theives and cattle rustlers in the days of the wild west... Hang them!
Don't be stupid. Power isn't measured by the size of your tacho
I have had no trouble with any of the major brand tyres over the years, I just go for middle priced ones, they have always served me well, might pay to ask everyone if any of the higher priced tyres were really worth the extra money.
looking up specs on the profilers, tells me they come with a Y, V or W speed rating, none of which can exceed 300kph
BFGoodrich - Size lineup
am i missing something that bf goodrich aus isnt telling me?
bridgestone potenza ftw i reckon
I'm just gonna throw this out there but if your'e after an AFFORDABLE tyre, I have a set of 235/45Z/R17 Maxxis MA-V1s fitted and they seem to grip well and are quiet...They are also quite a good looking tyre as they don't have excessive wall writing and a nice v-shaped tread pattern.
This VS is guarded by shotgun 4 nights per week - You guess which 4!

Better clarify...I'm not selling, that's just what I have fitted to my VS

I used to burn through rear tyres pretty bloody quickly myself when I was lot younger
Iv'e lost 2 sets of mags & tyres to bloody thieves, seems to attract them so these days I just stick to the normal standards that do their job well and don't seem to get knocked off[I admit they don't look as good though]
