    Exclamation what oil type for a vs v6 with 250 thousand km ?

    hey guys my cars got 250 thousand km on it still runs sweet but i was thinking should i put a slightly thicker oil in next oil change since all the clearances will b bigger now than when it was new i usually use the recommended um i think it was 20 w 50 cheers for any advice guys

    my current car has over 250,000 and i use penrite HPR30. granted it's a different engine, but my ex's VT drank hpr30 too and was fine, had same km as mine (slightly higher actually)

    I use HPR15 on the VT with 265Kms, and on the VS with 230kms, runs perfect on both.

    either penrite HPR15 or HPR 30 is exactly whay you're after

    For an engine of that age any 10W40 or 20W50 oil would be fine, anything the guys in here have mentioned would also be ok

    If you happy with what you're using at the moment and there are no issues then there is no need to change at all.
    Car theives should be treated just like horse theives and cattle rustlers in the days of the wild west... Hang them!

    i would go hpr 30 with that many k's myself, if lower i use hpr15
