    Default lower control arm problems

ok ive jacked my car up to take out the rear springs to change them. i lowered the control arm by taking out the bolt connecting it to the axle. but now im trying to get the control arm back in by jacking it up, but the whole for the bolt to slide through will not line up at all.

can anyone help with this pain in the arse problem?

it would of been easier to undo the shock from the mount on the diff, bit of pushing and shoving will do the trick though

yeah, well i got it all back together, had to pull the whole spring out then push the arm back in and then clamp the srping right down and shove it back in, a lot of of stuffing around, but i did it better than what the book reckons, hahaha

Wind the bolt in an anticlockwise direction. It will be awkward because you have to hold the spring.

haha yeah, i tried unwinding, but the clamp was so tight i couldnt undo it without the spring rolling away, haha and the vice on the bench wasnt strong enough.

i ended up jacking my car up higher and putting the spring under the back wheel and lowering the car on it, haha acted as a vice. bit dodgy but it worked.
