As far as I know they will fit with spacers but they are overrated so I've never done it personally.
Just don't cut metal from the parcel shelf because its more bother than its worth getting your car roadworthy again

You will lose sound quality from 6x9s compared to equivalent 6" or 6.5"s, but will get more bass from the 6x9s. So if you aren't running a sub, then the 6x9s might be the better option, but if you do have a sub then it really doesn't matter what you put in the back as long as you have good quality speakers up the front since thats where you will be getting 90%+ of the music from.

When choosing speakers, a general rule is to ignore everything you see on the box and pick the ones that sound the best

All of this has been said hundreds of times before so have a look through the car audio section

i got 6x9's put into my car from autobahn , they didn't cut any metal or anything. They made a timber platform for the speakers and then re-carpeted the parcel shelf for $120 including installing the speakers obviously. It looks way better than those crappy spacers!
But i guess 6's are just as good.
    Hope this helps!
