you need to do all 4 wheels.
and start at the furthest away from the brake booster

so passenger rear, drivers rear, passenger front, driver front.

make sure the resevoir is always full when bleeding the system or you will just put more air in the system.

and its always safe to go round all the brakes twice, but in saying that i've only ever bled brakes when changing master cylinder.

You've given yourself quite a bit of time there!

Which piston are you talking about? Are you talking about the ABS module piston thing, cause all that comes to mind, and like you said, you don't have ABS.

LOL - shove the piston(s) back in with a large G-Clamp and you shouldn't have to bleed the system. No need to crack the bleeder nipple.

as above a g-clamp will push the piston back, No need to crack the bleeder nipple for that bit.
If your bleeding the brakes yourself, go to bunnings in the gardening section and get yourself some clear 5mm hose(i think there in rolls) and cut a length about 800mm long and it will slip over the bleed nipple and drop the other end into a 600mil coke bottle with a little brake fluid in the bottom to cover the end of the hose from air. Just crack the bleed nipple a 1/2 turn then and go pump the brake pedal a few times and check all is well. Then you can keep pumping the pedal until you run the resovoir low and then top it up with new stuff. Keep pumpin the brake pedal till you see the clean fluid coming through the hose. Close up the bleed nipple and remove hose and move onto the next caliper.

Careful not to run the resovoir so low it runs out or you will simply pump air into the brake lines andyou will need to bleed that all out then too.

the pads are sitting on the rotor pretty hard... as soon as i push the pedal they grab....
and the rotors are really hard to spin cause the pads are grabbing the disk....

i think the piston needs to be reset further back, so it's not so tight?

Sounds like the bleed nipple may be blocked. Engine off when bleeding.

Assuming you have installed the pads correctly they will free up once they have bedded in correctly. Once you have solved your bleeding problem try some repeated braking from 60 kph with a couple of hundred metres in between. Don't come to a complete stop and try for around 10 repetitions. Then run for a couple of kilometres without touching the brakes to let them cool down. You will need a long road with no traffic.

if i unscrew the nipple and replace it, will i have to bleed all 4 wheels again???

i have heaps of calipers here so i can rob a nipple off 1.....

but why are the pads so tight on the rotors??

changing 1 nipple you wont have to bleed the entire brakes no. Just that 1 caliper a little bit to get the air out of it again.

Pads will be a little tight if the piston didnt go all the way in, but once you start the car and push the pedal it will apply them and then release them to a normal position.

10 stops to me sounds excessive you dont wanna cook the pads and warp the rotors straight up, maybe do just 5 or 6, then just take it easy on the for a day or 2 like just normal daily driving no racing around on them.
