    Cool 215i Motor

    Hey guys i really really want to buy a 215i for my vr stato besides engine, loom, ecu is there any other things i need to worry about?? car has VT 296 slotted Brakes with VT master + Booster auto has been fully rebuilt 10,000k's ago with extra clutch plates stage 2 shift kit etc etc

    you could prob just use your old engine harness and put the ecu in i'd say. Though you might be short a knock sensor if the 215 has one. Potentially it maybe cheaper to just put a stroker kit in your engine and possibly pull a bit more than the 215 aywayz. Depends how much you getting it for.

    Yeah, unless you've already got one, good luck finding a genuine 215i thats out of the car. If you go down the build your own path, I believe that the 215i's used a Harrop stroker. Would probably be easier to build your own, plus you could add a few tidbits.

    215`s are severly under tuned aim for at least 250kw IMO Build your own as genuines are not cheap.

    Take your 304 to any speed shop and get it stroked to 355? from memory. Plenty of kits, options and manufacturers available. The OCCASIONAL HSV 215 comes up out of Granges and Senators, but they are super expensive for no real reason. As they old saying goes, If you want more inches, stroke it
