SS 185i Chip??

hey guys, just a question cause i cant see how it works..


i was reading a thread from a few years ago, anyway long story short.

Whats the difference between the 185i and Normal SS??

like is it just the chip?? or is there also internal work??

the only difference between the two is the 185i chip incorporates a knock sensor into the tune as well, where as the normal ss one does not have a knock sensor.

Yeah, that and the fact that the 185i tune brings the engine to 185kw. The regular V8 tune (which the SS has) only produces roughly 170kw.

its just a chip as said above with a knock sensor on the block. hsv also added those crappy headers which do nothing. Thats about the brawns of it.

exactly what its name suggests, detects any engine knocking/pinging so it can be tuned to the point of max performance and efficency without engine damage

Don`t forget the overpriced CAI in that tune as well guys.
