Hey guys
My Vr V6 was severely molested by its previous owner, and while the interior is very nice, they should have not touched anything under the bonnet.
Anyways, its always run rich and smelt of petrol, so I'm thinking they have put bigger injectors in it, is there any way I can tell from just looking at them?
they have numbers marked on them, post em up, we let uno if they are the wrong onse.
Prob have to pull one out to check the number their just under the connector. look for number like 917 or 928 etc
Edit: Just read your post properly, brb.
There will be numbers on the flat sections next to the connector.
Still can't see anything on them without pulling one out, If I get curious enough I'll pull one out later on.
Should be easy to see without removing them. Sometimes with reco'd injectors people like to take the numbers off them. I cant see why they would do it other than to make a dodgy sale, but I have heard of it happening.
Then I'm pretty sure there isn't any numbers on them because I had a look when I did the seals and I can't see any now so I'd say there isn't any numbers on them.
Wouldn't surprise if they were dodgy, all the work done on the car by the last owner was done by 'a friend of a friend' sort of thing.
Any other way to check what type they are?
if your smelling fuel, theres a good chance it could be something completely non-related to your injectors
Yeah I know, I'll be replacing the O2 sensor when I get my new exhaust with the turbos, Just thought it could be injectors because that seemed like something that the last owner would do.
