    Default Coolant Leak

    Hi Guys/Gals.

Have found a leak in my cooling system somewhere.

My heater tap died last week, and am still waiting for a new one to come, but have bypassed it with a single hose from the motor.

After checking those, and anything else that looks coolant related, there is still a leak somewhere.
Its dripping off the sump at about a drop per 10 mins or so, have tried to follow the trail, but it stops around the spark plug closest to the front and cant see any further.

I've checked a few posts from a google search, and seen that it might be the water pump or gasket, or even drain hole. Which connection off the side of the motor is the pump, and how do I get to it?
Theres an alternator getting in my way of finding out weather or not the leak is coming from there.

Any help would be great, thanks guys.

inline with your spark plugs but further down the block(bout half way,on both sides of the engine) there are 2 or 3??? metal plugs,if they have rusted coolant may be flowing out,if so u can get em out with a hammer and punch and get new ones from supercheap or where ever.and also im pretty sure there is some plugs 2 drain the coolant out(around the welch plug area) one of these mite be loose or somethinng

    Thanks heaps for that.

Have checked the welsh plugs, altho covered in oil and moisture like pretty much my whole engine, seem ok.

Upon closer inspection, it appears that the moisture comes from the front of the engine somewhere up the top between the alternator and the valve cover, but somehow manages to get to the side of the motor to fall from the sump.
I gave everything a good wipe as best as I could so I can have a better look when it starts again. Might show some trails.
Really hoping its not a big job. Shouldnt have flushed it a few weeks ago, since then, the heater tap and now this. Must have loosend a few things up.

Have found the leak thanks guys.

The leak is coming from a part I dont know the name of. Its located behind the pulley and power steering crank and connected tothe bottom heater hose. Its leaking where the part meets up with the motor.

What is it called, and is it available to buy, or is it part of the motor itself?
