Default Exhaust Change (will it fit?)

    Hi guys,
Just wondering if anyone has attempted before I do...

I want to swap a VR commodore exhaust with a VR series 2 commodore exhaust.

    First question:
Are they the same size etc? I presume so.

    Second question:
Do you guys know if it will be possible to change it on a ramp?
The only bolts are just behind the cat (we're only changing behind the cat), and I have some doubts about getting them in and out because of the bends over the axle.

    Cheers,
    OzJD

as long as both exhausts are Live or both IRS then yes, should be just a straigh swap. Should be easy enough to do on ramps.

is the replacement exhaust larger or the same size?

There should be two bolts just in front of the diff too, attaching the front and rear sections if it is a factory system. If it is an aftermarket sports system, then it should have a clamp join there.

And yeas, as ephect said, they are a straight swap. By the sounds of it, it's a live axle as you mentioned the bends over the diff.

I know one of them is a custom 2.5" (I bought it, that's why I wanna transfer it.
    They're both Live Axle : )

As for one, it has a clamp, and there seems to be a join that has some silicon type crap at the join...
as for the other, I don't think there is any join (i'll double check when the Mrs gets home (within the hour)

It just dosnt seem high enough reversed onto ramps

If you can separate the two parts on the system that you are going to fit then it is very easy to fit. You can get the rear one in by turning it sideways and sliding it in from the rear, then twisting it to the correct position.
