    Exclamation new struts r in but cant get bottom link pin nut back on ??

    hi guys yayy finally got my struts on my vs v6 sedan done but for the life of me i cannot get the bottom link pin nut on where the link pin joins the end of the sway bar i just dont have the room to get thAT nut on the thread any ideas what i have done wrong guys ? thyanks muz

    If you have your car on jacks, with the suspension 'hanging', try putting the weight on the wheels. Put the car on ramps or lower it onto blocks under the wheels so you can still work under it. Sway bar, links etc sit at awkward angles when the suspension is hanging.

    i just used siscer jack with a spanner standing up on the top of it and jacked the sway bar up and put nut on

    do the top one up fully then if you turn the strut left or right you will see the link bar move on a angle and it will give you enough space to start the nut on.

    have you dropped the sway bar, by the sounds of it you havnt? Undo the 2 clamps holding it up so you can let it hang and manouver it easy.

    i used an axe handle to lever my sway bar up to get the bottom link pin nut on, also try turning the wheels different ways.
