Default Vs wont start on incline

    Hi guys
My VS commodore wont start on a really steep inclines, but will start immediately when it is rolled onto flat ground. When on a really steep hill I turn the key, the fuel pump primes but the engine wont turn over!
    Does anybody have any ideas?

    Cheers...

I should also add, there is plenty of petrol when this happens (ie 3/4 tank), the battery has plenty of charge and changing from park to neutral doesnt solve the problem.

Does the red flashing immobiliser light near the wireless go out when the key is turned?

not sure cant quite remember but mine did nothing not even a spark. i think was to do with fuel not getting to the pump. i was rather low on fuel. then when i put it back on the flat and waited for a bit it just decided to start again. was very weird.

Water level in battery was fine, battery was also tested with multimeter at the time and was ok.
As for the immobiliser light I'm not sure, will have to try and get the car to not start again as it doesnt always happen.
The key was also replaced less than 6 months ago.

The blinking red immobiliser light goes out when the door is unlocked when you get into the car. When the doors are locked again the light goes back on, when the key is turned the light goes off. The car wont start now whenever it is left on a hill with the nose facing up. There are no problems starting when the nose is facing downhill.
