Screeching noice

Heyy all. I usually have to put the accelerater down just a tad on my car on start up so that it kicks in, but i just started it now and the starter engine has made a screeching noise. I pulled the key out of the ignition and restarted the car and it started fine. Any input will be highly appreciated, thanks!!

did it sound mechanical?

screeching noises normally come from the serpentine belt. check and inspect that it doesnt have any cracks or splits or wear marks and replace if nessecary.
