    Default 96 vs 5.0lt options

    hi guys i was wodering if someone can help me out. i need to change the auto in my 96 vs 5.0lt ute. and was wondering if i can use any 5.0lt auto or does it have to be out of a vs or will an auto out of a series 3 vs suit my 96 as ive been told there are 3 different types of autos for vs 5.0lt and i have to use the same or it wont work. cheers any advise on wat auto to put back in would be good

    just spend the same amount of money and get it converted to manual

    ^^ lol ^^ speaks the truth

    but as long as you find another 5lt auto box ur fine, it'll just swap out but it has to be a V8 box

    so as long as its from vr onwards i will be fine. wat about a gearbox from an ls1 or ls3. do they have a different bolt pattern

    will need the ls1 computer to control it. it needs to be 5ltr
