where 2 start with my vr

I have a VR wagon that my dad brought for me with a blown motor. I have done the swap going good small problem atm wont start havnt looked very far into it yet but its just tht it has been siting for a while. Im just wondering if any1 could help me with any ideas wat the proble might be

First make sure you have a fully charged battery plus at least a half tank of fuel. Crank it over and make sure the red immobiliser light near the radio goes out. I'd also try spraying some Aerostart into the intake.
