    Exclamation helppp 1 piece panhard bush wont go in ???

    guys i brought the superpro brand of panhard rod bush there 1 piece and they absolutley wont fit in the panhard , i triple checked the part number and its correct but cause there hard and because of there shape i cant get them into the panhard rod about the only thing i could do is saw them in half and plug half a bush in from each side surley if that werre the case they would come as 4 bushes already ? please help me muz

    Hey Muz, a few things to check. Is the bush the same size on both ends or is one end smaller ? if one end is smaller make sure you are putting the small end of bush into big end of housing.
    Have you put the white grease on them ?
    Are you using a threaded bar with washers or plates to push the bushes in ?
    If you don't know what I mean check out my thread on installing poly bushes, I did my front end with superpro and put pictures on here for ya !!

    Cover them in grease, an hammer it in.

    hey guys yer i got the grease on em but that just makes it harder to hold em in place i just tryed again and i cant get the bush started cause it just wont go in so annoying i checked for a smaller end they look the same i dont no what to do i cant even get the bush hammered in 1 mm just slips off centre ive just added a pic hope it works cheers

    hay muzza does the bush have a metal tube in the guts of it?
    if it does can you take it out?
    do you have a bench vise?

    tried everything in the end i sawed the 2 bushes in half and popped em in like that worked a treat took it for a long drive b4 it feels so tight in the ass end now the car used to slop around the panhard bushes are the best 23 bucks ive spent in awhile massive difference just awsome cheers guys

    hahah good work shoulda pressed it in with a vice..... but tis worked so...ya know

    yeah I just use a vice, threaded rod works just as well though, interesting approach, let us know how they hold out long term.

    They'll end up chewing out an you'll be replacing them in a few months time now..

    nolathane bush kit comes as split bushes. never had issues with em

    genuine are cheaper and give a good ride.
    lube them like a virgin and hammer them in.

    lol stressed ay hozy , you sound like a bright spark m8, they woudnt go in with a vice so i had no option they are working like a charm if they give me any dramas in the near future ill replace em with the 2 piece noltec ones gee that was hard wasnt it .

    I've done it a few times with the superpro bushes, went in first time every time. With the supplied grease and a vice, 5 min job.

    Some bushes are pricks to get in, just use the force

    thats where the threaded rod or long bolt up the middle works wonders - stops them cocking to the side and they go straight in , but you may still need a little 'force' too..
