Hey Guys,,
Ive just got myself a VS ute and ive heard alot of different things and opinions on where to put subs in the vs utes.
Either in the well next to the fuel tank or behind the passanger seat.
I was wondering from past experiences what sounds better and is the more practical place to mount a sub..
thanks
dno about any body else? but my ute is a 3 seater vs and i have my 12in sub in the middle of the seat in a box i had to custom fit fit :P hope that helps? ehhh
My cuz put his 12in sub in a custome made box (home made) in the tray under the plate other side to the fuel cell. Could be wrong but by memory there was a little square plate or two with screws behind the seat inside the cab (near the bottom of the back of seat) that went to were we put the sub we took that off and it CRANKED. Also my bro had a Ford XF Ute he got his put in by an audio place they cut a hole and put it in the metal part behind the seats no box it was crap and cost him big $$$$.
my cousin's car was a VS two seater
Hope this helps.
Thanks ... yeah, i dont know..
The tray sounds difficult. but ive heard it sounds good inside the car, i want it so it can be heard outside the car too, not just in it lol..
ive seen you can get slim boxs that fit behind seats but how far foward they go im not sure ???
hey again its not to much work (well it wasnt for us) all you need is a jigsaw, drill, screws, wood glue, MDF these you need for the box a screwdriver and your set. (all this stuff we hade at home)
un screw the screws holding the plate down in the tray take it out measure out some W/H/L make your box take the little square plate off from behind the seat run your wires through put your sub box in screw the plate back down in the tray and bob's your uncle. you will hear it inside outside and your neighbours neighbour will be tellin ya to turn it down (depending on sub and amp). It worked for us but really its up to you what you do its a cheap way and it works
Again i hope this helps
No worrys hope it all goes well for ya
