It's really up to you. If you are any good at painting then give it a go and it will only cost you the paint.
" Buy new ones from a car wrecking yard" Do you mean buy used ones in the same colour as your car? If you can get the same colour at a good price then that is the easiest option.
I've got to ask, what does "paint them at wreckers" mean?
