my vs came with the aerial clean cut off...probably a tragic car wash accident. im not sure wether or not they go up down automatically. Check the owners manual, it may give u a clearer picture.

There's a couple of ways to tell if you have an electric antenna.
1.) You have up/down buttons next to the air con/climate control.
2.) The top of the antenna itself is black (not silver/chrome).
3.) Remove the front left splashguard from the wheel well. Is the antenna has a motor, it's electric.

    Stock stereo or aftermarket.

If aftermarket does the car have amp ?

if its aftermarket with a amp, perhaps they have used the blue switching wire to provide the power to the amp.

I have had cars before with power antennas even with anew one you could still push it down and pull it up but you would hear it turning the cogs etc

Yeah, similarly with my VX when i start it and turn it off i hear the electric motor whiz, but no movement of the antenna. Go figure.
