Default Fuel lines....what are they made of, hard to replace?

Hey guys, i have had a few vacuum lines split on me lately due to being the originals, they were extremely brittle and broke easily between my fingers with slight pressure.

Was wondering, after the dear passing of Nige's VS SS due to the split in the fuel line, what are fuel lines made from? Are they rubber like vac lines?

How hard are they to replace? I'm in the process of replacing all hoses etc with fresh ones. Already done all the cooling / heater hoses (top and bottom rad hoses) and the fuel pressure reg vac line and just about to do the MAP sensor vac line.

they are made of rubber and are made for use with fuels, normal rubber hose will get eaten by the petrol, thou i have used garden hose before as a emergency fix this was before sunday trading and it was replaced on moday morning with the correct type hose

Go down to autobarn/bursons/supercheap/repco, EFI Fuel hose,

EFI Fuel hose can deal with transmission fluid & Petrol

Transmission hose can only deal with Trans Fluid & Not petrol.

    Never get that confused!

Also EFI Hose you'll need is 5/16 & measure ur lengths.

    Cheers

Also use good quality worm drive clamps on the fuel line to the fuel rail as it is under high pressure - I done my daughter's VT a few days ago and it had those stainless crimp type clamps that eventually loosen - fuel was dripping from the joint.
