Parking lights and brake lights

Hey all, I have a problem I tried searching but coudnt find the answer, I have just bought a 1993 vr calais and the parking lights come on when you put your foot on the brake.

Also when you put the lights onto low beam the left front light wont go to low beam from parking lights the globes fine as i just changed it but no luck, anyone know the answers to these problems?

Someone's screwed with your light circuits... You're gonna have to trace some circuits. Remove fuses and relays, eventually you'll isolate the problem.

check your brake/tail globes. should be double contact, twin filament globes. if single filament globes are used, it will create a short between brake and tail lights and your tail lights willl come on when you hit the brake, and brake lights will light up with tail lights.

was the brake light causing the issues, still no luck with the left headlight not going to low beam.

for the headlight, take the globe out and turn the switch on and check if you have 12V at the low beam terminal - probably a broken or loose wire
