WIERD NOISE from under car

alright i have converted the vr to manual all has gone well except one noise under the car ...

it sounds kinda like a rattle snake like chi chi chi chi .... lol now i thought it was the exauhst possibly leaking where the y piece bolts to the standard mainifolds.... or the manifolds because there is no gasket on the standard manis being a machined surface but not sealing properly (altho i am putting a gasket on there any ways) just in case..

i got under the car while it was running on stands and it actually sounds like the it is comming from the bellhousing i think i can hear it thru the inspection plate tho it was very faint under the car but i can hear it alot better above the car it serously sounds like air escaping the exauhst but am unsure any help greatly appreciated

thrust bearing?

is that the same as your throwout bearing or the bearing on your input shaft at the start of the bellhousingh???

if so i replaced it during the conversion and put grease all around the bearing and spun it and greased it
