Default Fact or Fiction? VS 9V

hey guys, i heard a bit of a rumor from a sparky last night about the vs commodores....

naturally first place i turn to for verification is you knowledgeable gentlemen!

right - i was told there was a 9v terminal sort of thing behind an indicator or headlight or something in this vs commodore that when powered (9v battery?) would trigger the remote door locks unlocking the car, in case keys were deadlocked inside.
is this a locksmiths secret? or a bullshit beer tale? or was it a one off personalised mod done by a forgetful vs owner prone to locking in his keys? (i'm thinking the beer tale)

    but i can't prove/disprove this at all as i don't own a vs

    Hey,

never heard of it either but then again dont mean its wrong.
However, you lock your keys in the car when its central locking with keyless
entry reducing the chances of this ever occuring.
And also, if your locked out of the car, how do you open the bonnet to connect a 9volt battery to this terminal to prompt the locks to open?

I could say Fiction over fact.

he reckons pop out an indicator or headlight or taillight or something .. wherever this alleged connector is .. with a screwdriver .. yea i dunno, i'm gonna pour a beer over his head next im down the pub with him ... bullshit artist LOL!

if it WAS true, i reckon it'd be a one off jobby done by a guy who's central locking was stuffed and he was always lockin his keys in his car.. or summat like that

EDIT: now that i think of it, i HAVE deadlocked my dads keys in his old VS years ago ... locked em in the boot and the spare set was flat battery..

hrmm hazy memory .. but i DID deadlock the keys in the boot and the racv guy opened the cars central locking without triggering the alarm or breaking anything ... wish i could remember what he did
