    Default camber kit with airbags

Hey guys just wondering if a camber kit will fix my camber on my car it has airbags in the rear so if there jacked up will the camber kit make the tyres camber out at the top? and also is the kit set to 1 height so if you go lower then this point will it camber again?

    cheers Mitch

camber effects older cars even at stock height..........so i guess everyone with cars lowered below stock height are dicks so im presuming you think 80% if not more of people on this site are dicks? my car at stock height has camber, i just want to save some rear tyres...........

    im curious to know:

When you lower a car with IRS you need a camber kit to correct the angle of tires with respect to ride height.

If you raised the car again, the camber kit would now cause issues because of the camber angle and new height not matching?

With airbags, if you raise it up and down, will a camber kit work at all heights? Is there a height it must be at for 90% of the time driving?

Can you get variable rate camber kits?

    aZk.

camber kits only work at a specific point, u have a set height, adjust camber/toe then ur good to go at that height, soon as you adjust the height lower or higher, u move it from the adjusted hieght.

with most camber kits, some of them move by them selves, and thats on lowered spring cars, mine move out of alignment after 6months, so imagine the bags lowering and raising it will throw it out rather quickly

A camber kit allows for adjustment. The camber can be set to the correct angle at a given ride height. Once the height has been changed, the camber will need to be reset to suit the new ride height.

Camber kits a adjustable, they have an offset hole in the pin through the bush. As you turn the adjuster bolt, it moves the bush in and out in relation to the fixed point on the car. This changes the camber.

You can't have dynamic or automatic camber adjustment. You will need to set you ride height that you drive most at and adjust the camber to suit.

go 4 point, which is just 2x 2point kit. it'll give you both camber and toe instead of camber or toe. best thing i've done to my car, my mates have gone the 2point kit then a few months later installed another 2point to turn it to a 4point kit they just didnt have enough adjustment.

dont see a point of a camber kit on a bagged commo or any car infact. if u set up ur camber kit and then next time u drive it u raise and lower ur car with the bags its goin 2 stuff up the camber you have just set and u will have to set it up again in a few weeks or months, correct me if im wrong but thats how i see it

The bag set up should have a pressure gauge, at the desired ride height that it is driven at it will have a certain amount of pressure in the bags, as long as the camber is set to the correct angle at that pressure (or height) it will be fine. The bags just have to be at the same height that the camber was set when driving to reduce rear tyre wear and excessive negative camber.
