I pulled up at work and when i went to lock it with central locking it did nothing. So i tried to press the door lock down and it wouldn't go down. I tried to start it but there was no fuel pump or ignition. I tried a few times and occasionally the accessories would come on and the indicators would flash as if i had the hazards on. I managed to fluke it and start it up, but it's not reliable. The battery has the green indicator on it. I can't check error codes as i've got no paper clips...
Could it be my key dying or what? It's 50/50 whether it'll start this arvo.
i seriuosly doubt your key going flat has anything to do with whats going on , i guess first thing i would do is just make sure the fuses are all good sumtimes a blown fuse causes wierd stuff to happen other than that im not to sure m8
o one thing i forgot when the 2 metal contacts around the ignition where the key goes in get pushed in 2far the car wont start i had this happen once and i carefully pryed the 2 metal contacts out a little so they contacted with the metal bit on the key properely worked for me u could try that as well
u cant press the lock button down with the door open, close the front door, and open the rear drivers side door and lock the front door that way.
at a guess i would try this first, but because u couldnt lock the car with the key, that rules out the barrel contacts. check ur fuses, rare they blow when turning off the car. lock ur car go into work and grab a paper clip n check ur codes. im thinking ur key is at fault mate.
good luck
Take your battery terminals off and give them a clean, it sounds like they are corroded. Check the water in the battery if you can.
Yep, corroded terminals. Got home and gave em a good clean. Thanks.
