HELP!!! 5ltr vibration at 4000Rpm+ and loss of power

hey can anyone help me???

i have a vs 5ltr ure and it vibrates alot when u get ova 4000rmp when its flat to the floor............. it does it both on gas an petrol?????????

it has a CAI and extractors etc and when it was on the dyno it did 110rwkw but i dont know whether it was a power run or not they where only cheaking the fuel mixture.

when i reved it in the driveway to 5grand it vibrated just not as bad,
could it be the torque converter or harmonic balancer????

or is my motor just worn out??????? its done 237,000

couple of things come to mind, harmonic balancer and also engine mounts.

if you've cared for the motor, it will still be going strong for another 200 thou

yeah i care for it i do oil changes every 5000km
+ i have only had it for 4 months it done it ever since i have bought it

did it get gradually worse or just one morning started running rough?

by chance did it log any codes? dont know if it would have, but maybe its has to help point us in the right direction.

ummmmm when i bought it, the vib was already there

the only codes it logs is, oxygen sensor no sig because it is on gas it has to be started twice to run, i was told it wasnt anything to worry bout, and when on petrol after bout 150+km it says that it running lean but only for about 10 secs every now and again

the the o2 error is fine on gas. im not 100% on specific probs with the 8s, so best wait til someone with more knowledge or someone who's had a similar issue post up. but my guess is going with harmonic balancer or engine mounts.

could also be centre bearing. does the vibration happen at the specific rev range 4000rpm in every gear? or only at a certain speed?

ummmmmm yeah it does it every gear, only from 4000grand+ it just doesnt seem to pull then after it starts vibrating?? also when its on petrol its not as bad but as gas but not by much LOL

well its a good start, that rules out driveline, as it would do it mainly at a specific speed range, so this points to the engine area lol not really what u wanna hear but we'll get it sorted soon enough i hope
